The device dynamically changes attenuating metal (Al and Pb) foils on the front of proportional detector at B2 station in Hasylab/DESY.2. Operation manual
The aim is to simplify adjustment procedures as well as enable measurements of high intensity reflections (e.g. small angle scattering), including direct beam.
You can adjust attenuation in wide range: 100 attenuating combinations are allowed (see "Attenuation wheels - hardware description" section below) from 0 (no foils) up to 2.5mmPb + 0.45mmAl (pretty beam stop). User defined socket is available.
